What is e-foiling and how does a Fliteboard work?

E-foiling is electrically “flying” above the water on a board with a mast and hydrofoil.

A Fliteboard works with:

  • A silent electric motor
  • An underwater propeller
  • A battery (Flitecell)
  • A hydrofoil
  • A wireless handheld controller

By gaining speed the board comes out of the water and you float stably above the surface.
How long does it take to learn to e-foil with a Fliteboard?

Most beginners can get on the foil within 10–15 minutes.


On average, after 1 lesson someone already has control over:
• Start
• Straight foiling
• Making turns


Faster students can sometimes fly within minutes.
How safe is e-foiling and what equipment is included in the class?

E-foiling is very safe when you
receive lessons from a certified instructor.
